Senate Chair will call the meeting to order to convene the General Senate session.

Kaylin Clark, Concerts Chair CEB – was on a flight. Main goal as chair for CEB: wants to focus on helping with community care and belonging on campus. Getting more in involved.

Jack Israelsen, Academic Affairs Board Director – returning to ASUU this year. Wants to serve because often decisions on the academic affairs are made without student input and Jack wants to change that. Wants to make the ASUU general convention where everyone gets together for a day: get everyone in the same room for a day and make decisions. Most rewarding experience in ASUU RSE charter for a skatepark.

Mariam Safeudien, Marketing board Director – was on zoom – applying because there is a gap between ASUU and the general student body. Wants to bridge the gap. Jack asked what the plans are to use the marketing board to help with this problem: very bad connection issues – connecting with other student orgs. Mercedes: how do you time manage – everything is through my calendar- SEN – Kearse – how do you plan to bridge the gap between other schools like the pharm school that is not just an email. no debate.

Ryan Trevino -associate director of academic affairs – working with Jack to help get the public forums up and running. Helping students bring about change and increase student outreach. Question from jack- we did a survey from mental health and most had no idea we had mental health resources – install in a hotline for mental health and getting the word out from social media, graphics, fliers etc

Abram Wilcox, Campus Events Board Director - on zoom, is a senor is a phycology major, has been involved in CEB every year and was the associate director for last 3 years. wants to restructure CEB drop the random chairs, limit the leadership so it opens up way more creativity and collaboration. – no debate

- Benton Hatch, Associate Director marketing – on zoom – first year, is interested in this position because he wants to be more involved on campus, have more reach and big problem of ASUU is connecting with your average student which is an issue of marketing. Emma – what graphic designs are you wanting to bring to the table? Less corporate and bland but more by students, for students. Chris – what skills do you have that fit this role? Had a movie event at the megaplex theater and every seat was filled is also very involved in Greek life and involved in RSOs. Use the connections gained over the past year. It was inefficient just because it was new, so try to tighten up and streamline everything including new ideas and getting more people to vote etc. no debate

- Brandon Saavedra, Student Resources Board Wellness Chair – architecture – work a lot with connecting students with resources and it surprised many of them how much we have available to us. JB1- Legislation to Amend General Reserve Guidelines: Chair Johnson
- Senate approval, assembly approval, presidential signature, COSA, board of trustees
- $200,000 to $50,000 because all ASUU could better use the money by bypassing the above process and making the money far more fluid. Senate and assembly will gain more money through this bill.

JB2- Legislation to Amend Redbook Bylaws, Article IV, Section 2, Clause 1.4: Chair Johnson
- Why is ASUU funding research travel funding? Reducing the load of research travel cost through the ASUU and lessen the use of student funds for research travel.
- Change the travel fund from a regular ASUU expense to more of a scholarship. This is not a vacation stipend or easy avenue of funding this should not be on ASUU to fund.
- No less than 4% of student fees to be used for travel
