What We Do
The goal of the Student Outreach and Immersion Board is to be a presence of support and community for students who meet the above qualifications. We realize that life as a student can be quite different than the classic college experience, and so we have made it our mission to serve you through offering our support. Whether that is through connecting you to various services or getting you involved in activities and events we aim to make your experience here at the U a rewarding and memorable one.
There are several groups on campus focused on this population, from the Student Outreach Board through ASUU, the Non-Traditional Students of the U of U, and the Returning to the U program through University College to the Women’s Resource Center and the Childcare Coordinating Office. The purpose of this website is to bring all these services together, creating a Non-Traditional Student Hub for information gathering.
The Associated Students of the University of Utah (ASUU) is your Student Government. ASUU brings together hundreds of students who work for the benefit of the University of Utah’s Student Body. There are many positions available to students ranging from volunteering to running for an elected office. ASUU is always in need of help and we welcome all U of U students. It is a great way to get involved and enhance your education.
What Does ASUU Do?
Everything we do in ASUU is student-driven. We provide everything from volunteer opportunities to paid leadership positions. We fund student groups and clubs, allocating over 400,000 to more than 500 student organizations on campus. We support valuable services to students such as PERSONAL MONEY MANAGEMENT, subsidized TUTORING and CHILDCARE, and LEGAL ADVOCACY. Find out more about ASUU.
